Owosso, MI – March 14, 2024 – Lacy Kuehl, a celebrated young athlete and advocate for diabetes awareness, is scheduled for a special visit to the Performing Arts Center (PAC), part of the Owosso High School / Middle School campus, on March 21st at 8 AM. This engagement is in collaboration with Chris and Nick Pilon, the creative minds behind the documentary Driven: Florida Driver to Alaskan Musher. This event provides a unique chance for middle school students, staff, and others to partake in a presentation that combines film, sports, and advocacy into an enriching experience.


Lacy Kuehl's journey from becoming a champion in racing across various platforms in Florida to braving the frozen tundra of Alaska as a dog musher is a narrative of resilience, determination, and a commitment to making a difference. Featured in the Pilon brothers' documentary, her story not only showcases her sporting achievements but also her profound contribution to diabetes awareness through her nonprofit, Drive for Diabetes Awareness, Inc.

The presentation at the PAC on the Owosso High School / Middle School campus will spotlight Lacy's racing victories, her accolades in sportsmanship, her role in NASCAR's Drive for Diversity Youth Development Program, and her award-winning foray into dog sledding, among other accomplishments. This interaction aims to inspire attendees with Lacy's testament to pursuing passions with a purpose.
